Come on out and kick out those Winter doldrums with an Empty Can Band Winter Blast. Wear your dancing shoes and get ready to rock ‘n roll! The fun starts on Saturday, Jan 30th at 8:30 pm at Two Brothers Roundhouse, 205 N. Broadway in Aurora, IL.
The Empty Can Band consists of Rich Van Ham on harmonica and percussion, Dave Glynn on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Johnny Mack on vocals and lead guitar, Jim “Chevy” Chevalier on bass and Todd Moffett on drums. Our special guest will be Jorge Orendain from Guadalajara, Mexico on keyboards.
The band will be playing a nice mix of original songs spanning two albums – Still Alive and Beautiful Man – and cover songs by artists like Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Counting Crows, Big Head Todd, and more.
Summertime Fun with the Empty Can Band in Ottawa! Hey all – if you missed your Empty Can Band fix at Two Brothers in Aurora a couple of weeks ago, we’re heading to Ottawa for two shows. The first will be this Saturday, August 8th at 8 PM at the Zeller Inn and the second will be an early show on the Illinois River at H2O Bar & Grill on Saturday, September 5th (Labor Day Weekend) at 2 PM.
We’ll be at full-speed and running on all cylinders at both gigs. They are both outside performances so enjoy the summer while you can and some lively music from your favorite Empty Cans.

The Empty Can Band features the talents of Dave Glynn on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Johnny ‘Mack’ Mackniskas on lead vocals and lead guitar, Rich Van Ham on harmonica, James ‘Chevy’ Chevalier on bass, and Todd Moffett on vocals and drums.
The band will perform songs from their two albums, “Beautiful Man” and “Still Alive”. The evening will also be flavored with their own versions of songs by artists Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Big Head Todd, Counting Crows, Ray LaMontagne and others.
Risa Renee will open the evening with a set. Risa Renee is a budding talent new on the rock ‘n roll scene. Risa will be performing songs from her recent CD, “Twisted”. Risa’s “Protectors” feature members of the Empty Can Band.

Sugar Grove – don’t miss the core band at its best. We’re coming off a great benefit show and we’re tuned up and ready to go. The usual supects, Dave Glynn, Johnny Mack, Richie Van Ham, Ray Rehberg, Chevy – Jim Chevalier, and Todd Moffett will provide you with some tasty originals and plenty of your favorite artists. Cancer can rip people and families apart, but one family is united behind Kathy and so is this community! Join us to help raise funds to assist Kathy in her battle with stage 4 colon cancer. It all happens tomorrow evening (Saturday, February 21, 2015) with the Empty Can Band performing with the ECB horns and friends, silent auction (some incredible items including Blackhawks, Cubs tickets and restaurant gift certificates donated by area folks and businesses), 50/50 raffle, cool T-shirts for sale, food and refreshments (beer, wine, pop, water). The event runs tomorrow night (Saturday) from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Cheshire Club in Prestbury, 15 Winthrop New Road, Sugar Grove, IL. Admission is $10.00 and includes food, refreshments and entertainment. All proceeds go to the Rosheisen family.
