Two Buskers Go Legit at Sat Afternoon Cafe with A Couple of Empty Cans and Upcoming Benefits
Hey everyone, Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Happy Spring, and Happy Happy Joy Joy! Just want to fill you in on the latest developments for the Empty Cans. Richie and I will be performing at Kiss the Sky Saturday Afternoon Cafe on April 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 180 First St, Batavia, Illinois 60510. Don Robinson will sit in on bass for a few songs as well. We’ll be digging into the catalog for some oldies and we’ll also perform some fresh material. I always surprise Rich with some new songs just to keep him on his toes. Damned if he doesn’t do a great job when he’s surprised!
We’re planning a benefit for Ezzie Stalker and Lutheran General for Sunday, May 27th from 4:30 to 8:00 pm at the Batavia Moose, 1535 S Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL 60510. We’ll send out more details soon, but there will be a performance by the Empty Can Band and special guests. Please mark your calendars.
I would also like to mention that the Empty Can Band will be the featured entertainment at the Red Tie Spring for a Cure Event on Friday, April 13th from 7 to 11 pm at Mesón Sabika, 1025 Aurora Ave, Naperville, Illinois 60540. Richie and I will be warming up the crowd for the cocktail hour and full, upright dancing will be required after all of the fundraising. For more info, visit https://www.funforacure.org/.
We sure miss everyone, so please drop by to see us soon! Peace on earth and love to all!
